This weaving is handmade by quechua women from villages outside of Cusco. Their weaving traditions goes back for thousands of years, long before the Inca Empiere. In quechua it is called a Lliqllia and in Peru it is most commonly used as a baby sling to carry small children. The symbols are said to give protection and bring luck. Made in 100% sheep wool, 110 x 120 cm
