These handmade embroideries are made by the shipibo conibo people from Pucallpa and displays  ayahusca visions. Ayahuasca is a sacred plant that the tribe has used in ceremonies for thousands of years to receive knowledge about life and nature and the geometric patterns are the symbols often viewed in visions during these ceremonies. The cotton fabric is dyed with a special type of natural clay which gives a soft brown or black color and then carefully embroidered with the complex designs that shows the richness of their culture and life in the peruvian amazon basin.
