This weaving is handmade by the Q'eros tribes women who live high up in the Andes outside of Cusco. Their weaving traditions goes back for thousands of years, long before the Inca Empiere. In quechua it is called a Lliqllia and in Peru it is most commonly used as a baby sling to carry small children, but can also be used for a large altar during ceremonies. The symbols are said to give protection and bring luck. 120 x 120 cm
