Huatana is a word in quechua that means 'to tie' something. The huatana is made to tie the forces of nature to us, handmade in organic natural dye alpaca wool that comes from animals that grace free along the mountainsides in the Peruvian Andes. Each tie has a special symbol from the andean mythology and are traditionally used as decoration to clothing or as a wrap around the Paqo shamans medicine bundle. The symbols brings us protection and blessings and is a sign of our wish to be close to our natural origin.
